Avid is looking for an experienced cloud QA engineer to work with the engineering team to develop, implement, test, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions. A successful candidate will be working on deployment, test, test-automation and debugging Avid cloud products. As a cloud QA engineer, you ensure the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the products and maintain cloud infrastructures in accordance with best practices and company security policy by providing and executing test plans for functional, performance and scalability testing, as well as designing and implementing appropriate automation tests. As a senior cloud QA engineer you have very good troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and are a team player. You will test, build, deliver and support Avid cloud products.
Requirements
– 3+ years of relevant experience with cloud technology
– Deployment and troubleshooting of SaaS in GCP
– Experience as a QA Engineer – creation of test plans, manual testing, creation and execution of automated tests
– Experience with Ansible and/or Gatling
– Experience with Gitlab CI/CD pipelines and terraform
– Experience using DevOps tools in a cloud environment (e.g.: Docker, Helm Charts, Terraform, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Sonar Qube)
– Knowledge about Microservice architectures and concepts (e.g. Services mesh, Chaos testing)
– Experience with a programming or scripting language: GoLang, Bash, Python
– Build and maintain systems on Kubernetes
– Fluency in English (both spoken and written), ability to communicate efficiently in English in spoken and written form.
Will be a plus:
– GCP certification
– Experience with SaaS in Azure or AWS
– Agile development methodology
– Experience in working with international teams
– Experience with Security and Secrets Management (e.g.: Hashicorp Vault)
– Experience with Cloud AI services
– Experience with Cloud SQL databases
– Experience with monitoring solutions (e.g.: Prometheus)
– Experience with MongoDB, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis and/or PostgrSQL
